Every year Kitchener's famous swan residents, Otis and Ophelia, must be relocated from Victoria Park to Stratford for the winter months.

The Abell team was very excited to be tasked with the important duty of caring for these snowbirds. Kitchener doesn't have facilities to care for the swan pair during the bitter cold winter months, so they're returning to where they first met in their usual Winter retreat.

Rather than having to migrate south under their own power like their wild counterparts, Otis and Ophelia enjoyed a much more relaxed route to their winter home riding safely ensconced in straw-lined cages loaded into the back of a truck.
